Welcome to Swanton ShowStock, we are a family managed livestock operation located in eastern Iowa. Our ewe flock consists of 80 Hampshire crossbred females used primarily for club lamb production. In addition, we also own a small cow-calf herd, mostly consisting of purebred Angus genetics. My wife and I both grew up with strong agricultural roots and were actively involved in our family's cattle operations. However, at an early age I blazed my own trail by getting involved in the sheep industry. What started as a single 4-H project grew into one of the premier purebred Suffolk flocks in the nation by the time I was in college. My wife and I both grew up heavily involved in the livestock industry and there was no question that we wanted to give our children those same opportunities as well. The goal of our operation is to raise complete, competitive, and consistent livestock that can win in the ring and be productive in the pasture. We’ve constantly been trying to build and improve the quality of our program over the years and as our kids continue to get older and age out of showing eligibility, we feel like we have grown our flock with very valuable genetics too good not to offer. We have been very grateful for the connections and friends we have made over the years through this industry and want to offer the same opportunity to help other families achieve their goals.
